Reading Recap: June 2025

Trauma: The Invisible Epidemic by Paul Conti

This isn’t an area that I have a lot of background. I find it valuable to be humbled by how naive I am in many areas and experiences. While making the world a place of healing has universal value, there are many practical lessons for managers to better understand the myriads of human conditions they will work with. If you’re caught up in anxiety or other trauma related to the future of work, these tools and perspectives will also be helpful.

Empire of AI by Karen Hao

A must read for anyone in the AI space. It filled in many gaps in my understanding of the players and events that have shaped the recent boom in AI.

This Is How They Tell Me The World Ends by Nicole Perlroth

The history behind nation-state level cyberwarfare. Mind-blowing stuff. This is a pretty big book and sat on my shelf for a while intimidating me. It reads like a thriller and is entertaining from beginning to end.
