Be Brave

Sheltering in place is the logical response to a raging storm,

But your makeshift cover won’t hold out forever.

There is opportunity in the swirling chaos,

You must slay some dragons if it’s treasure that you’re after.

What’s the worst that can happen?

You expose yourself as the fallible human that you are?

We need more fallible humans like you.

You would be doing your fellow man a service.

Learning is failing, pratfalls, slips, and imperfection.

Often in front of others:

Those we admire

Those we respect

Those we love

Leading isn’t safe.

If you are in front, you are exposed.

There’s nowhere to hide anyway.

Might as well go out in a blaze of glory.

Who knows what will happen if we take that chance.

We are all the heroes of our own journeys,

And heroes are brave.
